NACE Corrosion Course

NACE Course on “Corrosion control in the refining industry”

Tony Franks recently attended the week-long course on “Corrosion Control in the Refining Industry”, run by the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE). The course was tutored by Hisham Hashim, who has many years of experience of refinery corrosion in his years with Conoco Phillips in the US. The course was extremely helpful in covering the various processes in refinery operations, the corrosive species encountered, the materials of construction, and the corrosion mechanisms involved. The course material provides an excellent reference manual, and should help us add more value to work we do for oil refinery clients.
